the st. andrews cross

I’m drawn to the rigidity of the St. Andrew’s Cross and the way it contrasts with Shibari. Where rope wraps, bends and moves with the body, the Cross is fixed and unyielding, forcing the body to conform to its structure. That contrast creates a different kind of vulnerability, restraint and submission that I find compelling to photograph.
